Capturing Action and Drama
Here we can see players shooting the basketball, doing a pull, or just simply waiting for the ball. Some of these picture are quite dark and the sports mode on this picture is not really fast because some of the action pictures are blurry. We have one player who is laying on the bench because he injured himself. You can really see the emotion because he has one of his hands over his face and the other hand holding his angle. But again, the sports mode on this camera is not very good because the picture is blurry.

"Planning"
Here the coaches are telling the players the play. Some coach like Mr. Stalker, uses hand motions to make sure that the players understand the play. Players might be paying attention, some might not be. Other coaches like Daniel and Alex, they use a clip board to tell the players the play. The second picture is kind of blurry maybe because of the zoom in.

"Between the Action"
Here you can see that each team has to come up with a plan, some could be by the benches and some could be just in the middle of the court. You can see the coach talking and using hand demonstrations so that the players could understand the act. Some of the "between action" shots are either during a time-out or end of a quarter.

Indoor Sport - KungFu
Here, Mr. Butler is showing a famous KungFu move. I feel like the flash is good because you can see the sweat dripping off of his head and you can see that he is serious about this because his fist is closed so hard.
The reflection of the flash on that punching bag is bad, it ruins the picture a little. |
Here we can see that Vera is serious about KungFu, you can see her hair flipping everywhere, and that she has a black stripe on her belt. The lighting here is quite good, you can even see the person next to Vera quite well. Except that it's too yellow or orange, maybe because of the gym floor plus the sun, but it's making her skin orange.

Famous Photographer - David Burnett
David Burnett, born in Salt Lake City, Utah is a magazine photojournalist based in Washington, D.C. In 1968, Burnett graduated Colorado College and began to work as a freelance photographer for Time and Life, first in the United States and later in Vietnam. He is a world traveler photographer for major magazines in the US and Europe. He took pictures for the 2004 Olympics.
Burnett photographs many sport, but he mostly photographs swimming. From my research, his photos are mostly black and white like this one. In this picture, you can clearly see the emotion of the swimmers, you can see that they really want to win this competition. You can also see in their faces that they are gasping for a breath. Maybe this was during the 2004 Olympic competition, you ca see that the women have matching swimming suits, from the same comply. They also have the some swimming cap.
